Being a hypocrite, I've not read it either but I honestly don't think he is just mouthing words. I think he's best describes as an optimistic universalist. Not that he thinks anyone will be save but he hopes they will and that God is able. Other critics think similar.

ReplyDeleteHe's just mouthing orthodox words. No-one claims he doesn't. They contend what he actually means by it.
And yes he's right that people should only discuss books they've actually read but some of his critics have actually read it.
