According to Steven Fry, though the medium of QI a snail 'dances and kisses' for 20 hours before mating. According to Wikipedia a snail lives for appoximately 2 years in the wild. Now Wikipedia also tells me that the average life span of an person in the UK is around 80 years. A human therefore lives 40X that of a snail. We can therefore work out how long a human should dance and kiss before mating. 20X40=800 hours/33.333 days. I wonder how long the everage person takes to rack up 33.333 solid days of dancing and kissing? Maybe worth a thought next time you are in a club! :P
